San Diego, CA – December 9, 2016 – Multi-platinum selling, Grammy-winning band SWITCHFOOT has released a brand new version of their track “FLOAT,” from the band’s latest album Where The Light Shines Through, remixed by Darren King of MuteMath. Fans can watch the official video for the song, which features footage from their hugely successful Looking For America Tour, on Switchfoot.com, or stream it via Spotify.

On working with SWITCHFOOT, King shares: “The guys of Switchfoot are the best. They give you free surf lessons, let you borrow their gear when you break yours, and every now and then, if you're lucky, you get to remix a great song of theirs.

The band has also teamed up with SKIO Music to host an exclusive remix contest, which allows rising artists and producers to submit their own take on “FLOAT” for a chance to win a trip to Vancouver, BC courtesy of Alaska Airlines to meet SWITCHFOOT in person. Guest judges include SKIO Pro artists Diego Miranda (Portugal) and WAO (Brazil), who will be providing feedback to entrants to help them develop their skills. The top three entries will receive signed merch from SWITCHFOOT, a SKIO Music swag pack, and will be included on SWITCHOOT’S forthcoming remixes EP. Submissions are open now through January 8th, and winners will be announced on January 19th. For more information, or to enter, please visit: https://skiomusic.com/r/pHW
